Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What products do you use?

A: I don't have one specific brand that I use, one of my favourite parts of my job is buying and trialling new products, I like to take the best from each brand, ensuring I'm stocking the highest quality products I know of, for my clients.

Q.How long does makeup usually take on the wedding day?

A. I like to allow 1 hour for a bride on her wedding day. This is a generous time frame, but you are also gifting yourself some very precious time (on what can be a busy morning) to close your eyes and gather your thoughts, before slipping into your dress and walking down the aisle to marry the one you love.

All other services allow 30-45  minutes per application, however everyone is different and may need a little more or a little less time.

Q: Will my makeup/hair last?

A: Yes! For approximately 8 to 12+ hours depending on your skin type. By starting with the preparation of your base, I will analyse your skin and choose from an assortment moisturizers and primers, helping your skin absorb and then to adhere to the foundation. The rest of the face will be set with water resistant / water proof products and different setting powders and sprays, ensuring your makeup will look gorgeously fresh and never move until your ready to take it off at the end of the night. We will also take the necessary precautions for climate and weather conditions to ensure longevity of the hairstyle.

Q:  Can I book in for partial makeup services? I.e. just eyes or just face?

A: Unfortunately I am not available for partial or a la carte makeup services.

Q: I have skin allergies or severe acne - Will the makeup break me out?

A: All of the products used are dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested. I am comfortable working with any skin type and condition. I recommended letting me know ahead of your appointment so we can discuss any allergies or special needs.

Q: Can you cover my tattoo?

A: I am able to cover any tattoo, but please let me know beforehand so we can discuss coverage options and pricing.

Q: Do you do hair?

A: Yes! You've found the answer to your prayers, a one stop shop!

Q: Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?

A: I offer mobile services for weddings and events. This means I will travel to your house, a salon, or hotel - wherever you choose to get ready. This ensures you have a relaxing, stress free time preparing for the day! .

Q: How far can you travel for my wedding?

A: I am more than happy to travel for domestic events, and destination weddings. Travel fees will need to be negotiated.

Q. How soon should I book you?

A. I receive enquiries from brides on a daily basis, so if you know you definitely want me, I recommend booking sooner rather than later as my weekends get booked up very quickly.

Q: Do you have a minimum booking requirement for a wedding?

A: No, there is no minimum booking requirement. I cater to every style of bridal party, including parties of only the bride.

Q: Why do I need a trial before my wedding?

A: A trial is booked in a 1.5 hour slot, this allows us time to discuss hair and makeup options. It's a time for you to ask any questions and voice any concerns you may have, then putting those ideas into action, creating your ultimate bridal look.
